Danny Boyle's new film about the co-founder of Apple doesn't seem to paint Steve Jobs in a very positive light.
Today we are treated to 4 new clips, which all depict the man to be kind of a jerk (to put it lightly). The clips show Steve having confrontations with his friend Steve Wozniak (Seth Rogen), his ex Chrisann (Katherine Waterston) and the only woman who could ever put up with him, Joanna (Kate Winslet).
Personality aside, Steve Jobs did leave a legacy behind, as he is the name that most would associate with Apple products. Now, Boyle's film attempts to give us some insight into who he had to make enemies with in order to maintain that legacy. Michael Fassbender takes on the title role, adding to the long list of morally compromising characters he has played (as Conor in Fish Tank, Edwin Epps in 12 Years a Slave, and later this year as Macbeth-- just to name a few).
With a script penned by Aaron Sorkin, one of the most gifted screenwriters of our time (he also wrote The Social Network and Moneyball), the film is dialogue heavy and the clips give us some very exciting insight into this very confrontational film. We're excited to see it all unfold on October 16th.
