With live performances of The Nutcracker on pause this year due to COVID-19, Cineplex has partnered with The National Ballet of Canada to make sure the holiday tradition lives on.
A special presentation of the beloved classic, which was previously filmed live in 2008 at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto, will be available to watch at select Cineplex theatres across Canada or available to stream on the Cineplex Store.
The special production features Principal Dancers Sonia Rodriguez as The Sugar Plum Fairy and Piotr Stanczyk as Peter/The Nutcracker.
