OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES & REGULATIONS (“Contest Rules”)

THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS VALID TO RESIDENTS OF BRITISH COLUMBIA. TO BE ELIGIBLE TO ENTER THIS CONTEST ENTRANT MUST MEET THE REQUIREMENTS SET OUT IN SECTION 1 BELOW. THIS CONTEST WILL BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO APPLICABLE CANADIAN LAW. SUBMISSION OF AN ENTRY CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF ALL OF THE CONTEST RULES.

By entering this Contest, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accept the terms and conditions below.

Sponsor: The sole Sponsor of this Contest is Cineplex Entertainment LP (“Cineplex” or “Sponsor”).

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Contest commences 11:00am PST Friday July 26th, 2019 and ends at 11:59pm PST on August 18th 2019 (“Contest Period”).

1. ELIGIBILITY

Contest is open to individuals who are legal residents of Canada who reside in British Columbia, and who are over the age of 14 at the time of entry. Contest is not open to employees and those domiciled with employees of Sponsor or its parent, subsidiary or affiliated companies, licensees or advertising and promotional agencies. Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility of a potential prize winner including but not limited to verifying that the potential prize winners are not an employee (or domiciled with employees) of Sponsor or its parent, subsidiary or affiliated companies, licensees or advertising and promotional agencies, and without verification to the sole satisfaction of Sponsor, to deny entry to that entrant. Void where prohibited.

2. HOW TO ENTER NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Before entering the Contest, ensure post setting is set to “Public” prior to submitting your post on your Facebook, Instagram or Twitter account. To enter the Contest, you must: (i) be following Cineplex on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and (ii) share a photo of yourself attending ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD at The Park Theatre (3440 Cambie St., Vancouver, BC, V5Z 2W8) during the Contest Period on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #HollywoodAtThePark, and tagging the Cineplex Facebook account “@Cineplex” or the Cineplex Instagram and Twitter accounts “@CineplexMovies”.

In order for your photo to be eligible, it must NOT:

· Infringe or violate the rights of any third party, including but not limited to, copyrights, trademarks, rights of publicity or privacy, moral rights, or any other intellectual property rights;

· Contain material that is inappropriate, indecent, contains profanity, nudity, sexual content, hateful content of any kind;

· Contain material that promotes violence or harm to another living creature or any other offensive content (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) or content that could adversely affect the name, reputation, or goodwill of the Sponsor, its affiliates and its licensors and their respective properties;

· Contain material that promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing) or promotes any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous;

· Contain the image of anyone under the age of majority in his/her province of residence without parental/guardian consent;

· Contain the image any other person without their permission. Sponsor reserves the right to require entrants to provide proof of written permission of others featured in the photo. Failure to provide written proof as requested by Sponsor will result in the disqualification of the entrant.

By submitting a photo, you represent and warrant that your photo is original and all right, title, and interest (including copyright) therein and thereto is owned and/or controlled by you to the full extent necessary to enable the Sponsor to use the photo as contemplated by these Contest Rules.

Posts must be submitted no later than the end of the Contest Period. Entries will be declared invalid if they are late, illegible, incomplete, damaged, irregular, mutilated, forged, garbled or mechanically or electronically reproduced. No communication or correspondence will be exchanged with entrants except with the selected potential Prize winner. Posts that are deleted by Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for any reason, including but not limited to violation of the Facebook or Instagram terms and conditions, will be invalid and the entrant will be disqualified.

Entries received shall be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the identified Facebook, Instagram or Twitter account was registered. For the purpose of the Contest Rules, “authorized account holder" of a Facebook, Instagram or Twitter account is defined as the natural person who is assigned to the Facebook, Instagram or Twitter account by Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and/or an on-line service provider. The potential Prize winner entrant may be required to provide the Sponsor with proof that they are the authorized Facebook, Instagram or Twitter account holder associated with the winning entry.

To enter the contest without purchasing a ticket please send a postage paid letter referencing the contest name “THE PARK THEATRE- ONCE UPON A TIME… IN HOLLYWOOD CONTEST” with your First Name, Surname, Postal Code, Email Address and your favourite Quentin Tarantino film to:

All mail-in entries must be post marked no later than August 18th, 2019 and received no later than 9:00:00 am E.D.T on August 21st, 2019 All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, illegible, misdirected or postage-due requests, which will not be honoured. Limit of one (1) no-purchase entry per mail in request. If more than one request is contained in the same envelope, all requests inside will be disqualified regardless of whether they are for the same or multiple individuals.

The limit of number of entries is one (1) entry per person regardless of method of entry used. In the event that the Sponsor determines that an entrant has submitted more than one entry using one or more entry mechanisms or Facebook/Instagram/Twitter accounts, all entries will be void and that entrant will be disqualified at the sole discretion of Sponsor. The odds of winning will depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

3. THE PRIZE

There are three (3) prizes (“Prizes”) available to be won:

One (1) A ONCE UPON A TIME… IN HOLLYWOOD movie poster signed by Quentin Tarantino, and two (2) ONCE UPON A TIME… IN HOLLYWOOD branded directors chairs. The approximate retail value of each prize is $150 CAD.

Prize must be accepted as awarded without substitution and are not transferable or redeemable for cash or allowed to be sold, and no warranties or guarantees regarding any Prize is expressed or implied. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Prize in whole or in part in the event that all or any of the components of the Prize are unavailable. In the event that the winner is unable to redeem any or all of the Prize components due to reasons beyond the control of the Sponsor, its employees, representatives, and agents, no compensation or substitute Prize will be provided.

4. CONTEST DRAW

Sponsor will select in a random drawing in Toronto, Ontario on or about 10:00AM ET, on August 22nd 2019, the potential Prize winners. The signed movie poster will be awarded first, followed by the director’s chairs. The Sponsor will attempt to contact the potential Prize winners by comment on their post or direct message, or for mail-in entries, at the email address provided, with instructions on how to contact Sponsor to complete the Prize verification process. The Potential Prize winners will have three (3) business days to contact the Sponsor. In the event that a potential Prize winner does not contact Sponsor within the specified period of time, he/she will be disqualified and another entrant may be selected from the remaining eligible entrants. This process shall continue until the potential Prize winners are selected. Potential Prize winners must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by phone or in writing and sign a declaration and release form: (a) discharging and releasing the Sponsor and its partners, parent, subsidiary or affiliated companies, officers, directors, shareholders, or employees from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or relating to participation in this Contest or acceptance, use, misuse or non-use of the Prize; (b) confirming compliance with the Contest Rules; (c) consenting to the publication and/or use, in any medium of your name, and city of residence for publicity purposes carried out by the Sponsor for without payment or compensation of any kind; and (f) accepting the Prize, as awarded (a “Declaration and Release Form”). In the event that a winner is minor, their parent or legal guardian may be required to sign the Declaration and Release Form on their behalf. If the parent or legal guardian does not accept this responsibility, their minor child will be disqualified and not awarded a Prize.

5. GENERAL RULES

The Sponsor shall not be liable for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, not received, stolen, mutilated, or garbled entries. By entering this Contest, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Contest Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final, binding and conclusive on all matters relating to this Contest. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify all entrants who fail to follow these Contest Rules or who make any misrepresentation relating to the Contest, drawing and redemption of the Prize. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal legislation. Entry constitutes permission to use the winner’s name, photograph and/or voice recording for publicity purposes without additional compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.

6. PRIVACY

This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. Any personal information that is collected by the Sponsor will be handled in strict accordance with the Cineplex Privacy Policy, available at http://cineplex.com/Global/PrivacyPolicy and all applicable privacy legislation. Sponsor will not sell your personal information collected for this Contest to any third parties. Any personal information collected for this Contest shall be used by Sponsor as is disclosed herein. Please note that by submitting personal information to enter this Contest, you consent to Sponsor’s use of your personal information in order to manage and administer this Contest.

7. TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES AND TAMPERING

The Sponsor shall not be responsible for any failure of the website during the Contest or for any problems or technical malfunction of a telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, or failure of any e-mail, on-line, or Internet entry to be received by the Sponsor. In addition, the Sponsor shall not be responsible due to technical problems, traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer or property related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the Contest. The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this Contest should a virus, bug or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, incomplete, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. Sponsor is also not responsible for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this Contest, including but not limited to errors in advertising, the Contest Rules, the selection and announcement of winner, or the distribution of the Prize.

8. NO LIABILITY

Neither Sponsor nor Twitter/Facebook/Instagram, and each of their respective officers, directors, affiliates, related entities, partners, partnerships, principals, representatives, agents, licensees, sponsors, successors and assigns (i) make any warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning any Prize, (ii) disclaim any implied warranty, and (iii) are not liable for injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from acceptance, use or misuse of the Prize, or from participating in this Contest.

9. SPONSOR HAS FINAL SAY

Decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding with respect to all aspects of this Contest.

10. CLOSE OF CONTEST

The Contest closes at 11:59pm PST on Sunday, August 18th , 2019. However, the right is reserved by the Sponsor to withdraw, terminate or modify this Contest at any time without prior notice. In the event that it is not possible to award another entry due to discontinuance of the Contest for any reason, Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may elect to hold a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the date of discontinuance for the Prize offered herein.
