Everybody has a favorite, whether it’s heart-warming family film like Miracle on 34th Street or a more ironic take on the season like Scrooged. Here’s a super clip of some of our favourite holiday classics.
Christmas movie madness
We made a short list of the season’s most beloved movies and created a series of Facebook polls to get you to help us pick what should be at the top of the tree! It felt ruthless to pit classic holiday flicks against one another through the season, but we did it.
See how it all went down here.
Need a refresher? Snuggle up on the couch and catch up on those holiday classics. Visit the Cineplex store to rent or buy new releases and time-honoured faves such as Home Alone and Die Hard.
Family is the reason for the season, and a trip to the movies is a great way to spend quality time together. Gather the gang to see these picks that are suitable for “kids from one to 92.”

The ghosts of Christmas past
We love to see characters evolve over the course of a story. That’s why two of the most celebrated holiday movies feature seemingly irredeemable villains undergoing a change of heart. This December, stop by your local Cineplex to revisit Bill Murray’s cynical TV executive in the 1988 comedy Scrooged. Or for a more family-friendly favourite, take in Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch, in the big-screen version of the animated TV classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
